Dr. hab. Jakub Szlachetko, Prof. UJ, is a Polish physicist and director of the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He holds a habilitation in physical sciences and has previously served at the Institute of Physical Chemistry and the Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2023, he was elected Vice Chair of the League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources (LEAPS), a consortium of 16 major European synchrotron and free-electron laser facilities.
