Prof. Piotr Młynarz has served as Pro Vice Chancellor for Organisation and Infrastructure since 2024 at Wrocław University of Technology. From 2020 to 2024, he was dean of one of the largest chemical faculties in Poland – the Faculty of Chemistry at Wrocław University of Technology, which was awarded an A+ scientific category in the evaluation. Previously, from 2012 to 2020, he held the position of vice dean of the same faculty, with responsibility for, among other things, the development of cooperation with industry.

He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań, co-founder and board member of the Polish Metabolomics Society and board member of the Wrocław Scientific Society. He is also a member of the Polish Chemical Society and the Polish Biochemical Society.

He is involved in research in the field of bioanalytics and its applications in medical diagnostics, biotechnology and chemical and biological sciences. Prof. Młynarz is co-author of more than 120 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 11 patent applications. He has participated in projects funded by NCN, MNiSW and NCBR .
