Roberta Salomone has a Ph.D. in “Technology and Economics of Processes and Products for the Environmental Safeguard”, University of Catania. She is currently Full Professor of Commodity Science and Rector Delegate for Sustainability at the University of Messina. She is Vice President of the Italian LCA Network from June 2023; member of the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS); member of the Italian Academy of Commodity Sciences. She is also member of the Board of Professor of the National PhD in “Sustainable Development and Climate Change” IUSS Pavia, and member of the Board of Professor of the PhD in “Economics, Management and Statistics” University of Messina. She participates and participated to various research groups, also as national coordinator. She is, actually, author of more than 200 publications on national and international scientific journals, books and proceedings. Her main research themes are related to sustainability, circular economy, industrial symbiosis, environmental management and assessment, with particular reference to Life Cycle Thinking methods.
